Leicester: Day 9

Today was a pretty chill day. I slept in, then I went to the introduction for the Ancient History and Archeology Department, nothing too exciting. After that I went down to city center. Primark may have really good deals, but it is scary! It's overwhelming with all of the people and clothes everywhere. I was too flustered to get anything. I did buy some stationary and a couple of teacups. We had our sub-warden meeting for Blue Block, which was the same 'don't start fires, don't lose your key, don't be stupid' stuff I've heard before.

I hung out in Beaumont again tonight after dinner. I really like the friends I have there. We then made the mistake of making our way to the student union on campus. The event was called 'Red Leicester', which is a type of cheese. I had no idea how packed it would be. There was live music, but it sucked. There were three bars open but I still couldn't get a drink after a half an hour, so I left. I feel bad saying this, but there were just too many drunk freshmen. It also didn't help that I completely lost the people I came with. The union is huge. So I safety bused it back, and now I am going to bed much earlier than I anticipated. A lot of my friends of class tomorrow, the lucky ducks. I have triple checked and quadruple checked, but mine for sure don't start until next week.

Australian Word of the Day: jumper, translates as hoodie.

Teacups! Stationary! That's incredibly British of you.

I'm coming to hold the same contempt for freshmen, specifically crowds of them, that you have. They clog up the campus, Vans. There are so many.

The pictures of you are just adorable. You look just fine in your glasses, too-not retarded or what have you.

Um...haven't talked to Jeffrey yet-he's on his way. I'll let you know.

And, as always, I love you. Glad you had a decent day.

OH WAIT ONE MORE THING! In senate tonight, Mark Pacey said, "Fuck you!" to Michael Gillaspie. Yeah. Because Mark called division and Michael pretended like he didn't hear, even though he clearly did. Dramadramadrama. It was satisfying, though. Anyway. That's really all. <3
