Robin Hood and Little John walking through the forest, laughin' back and forth at what the other'ne had to say, reminiscing , this 'n thattin', having such a good time, oo-de-lally, oo-de-lally, golly what a day...
Some friends and I took a 9:15 bus this morning to visit Nottingham. Turns out that Sherwood Forest is another 50 minute bus ride out of Nottingham, so we did not make it there. It was too cold and windy. We did see Nottingham Castle, which was pretty cool, and the art gallery they had there. It turns out though that there is a Goose Fair held in Nottingham every first weekend of October, and it's been running for over 700 years. We checked it out, it was huge! Definitely the biggest fair of games and rides I have ever seen. It was really cold and windy, so I did not ride any rides, I just took lots and lots of pictures. I also ate some candy floss. Our bus back was in the early evening, just in time to make it to dinner.
I'm staying in tonight and reading my first English assignment, which is Songs of Innocence and Experience by William Blake. It's due Monday in class, ver exciting!

Dear Vans,
Did you know that my neighborhood in Topeka is called Lake Sherwood? Did you know I have lived on Nottingham Rd. for 20 years? Sweet.
I saw the pictures on facebook - they were fun! What is candy floss?
Good luck on your reading, and I'm excited you're starting classes!
Miss you.
Vans! E-mail me your mailing address!
