Leicester: Day 27

It's finally happened. I have caught the 'Freshers' Flu'. It was only a matter of time, I knew. Everyone has been getting sick and I'm not the healthiest person, especially not with the food they serve us here. Therefore I have stayed in bed all day drinking lots of fluids and taking medicine regularly. I cannot be sick while in London and Rome!

It's a good thing I had no lectures today. The only productive thing I have done is get my second research proposal draft finished. Slowly but surely.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Bummer. Rotten timing. Let toddy come to the rescue. Recipe online.

Impressive that you can still grind out the writing.

I have a friend who believed she could ward off a flu bug by taking two aspirin whenever she got the sniffles. I never saw her ill; belief is a powerful thing. With belief and a book of matches, you can make a fire.

Be of good cheer,
