Leicester: Day 15

The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was to watch the 2nd Presidential Debate. I liked it, I think clearer distinctions were made between the candidates and that should help everyone decide who to vote for. I also wrote up a very rough draft of my research proposal that is due in a month. Such a busy day. Laundry too!

We had a birthday party tonight in Beaumont bar. It was Dave's 22nd, and he is also American. Idaho/New York. The Americans are really outnumbering all the other exchange students, but not many of us are from the same area. It is nice knowing other girls from KU are here, because I will have people to talk to when I get back about England. I just had to explain to the Germans why they are not as popular as us. There are three of them that always hang out together: Sven, Marc, and Nemo (yes, like the bloody fish). They are all over 6'2'' at least and are constantly slipping back into loud German conversations. It's quite intimidating, as I told them.

Tonight I introduced Kate to the magic that is When Harry Met Sally. She fell asleep before they were 30. Another English class tomorrow.

Not to get into the politics of the new candidates lets instead revisit that guy we love to hate. Not only are we now over 10 trillion dollars in debt (which means the nation debt display in new york no longer has enough digits on its screen to display the debt) but he also raised the nation debt ceiling yet again. While you are over there you should make contacts so when you are a refugee you have somewhere to go :(

Lol Nemo the fishy german

Hah! Fantastic. i'm so glad youw watched the debate-I keep meaning to bring up politics when we talk, but I get distracted by gossip :)

OBAMA O8.

We just sold parking for the KU/CU game to someone with a "NOBAMA" sticker. I almost did something bad, but then remembered that the money goes toward our utilities.

annnyway. well done with the productivity. Should you ever need a world-class editor for your proposal, i'm but an email away.

love you.
