London: Day 6

**Happy Birthday Spike**

So the itinerary for the day read: Hampton Court. For those of you who immediately recognize that as one of the palaces used by Henry VIII, good for you. I had no idea what it would be, but it turned out to be pretty neat. It's a palace from the 1500's, and much of it is in its original form, tapestries and all. The gardens were beautiful. They even had the huge old fire place lit and crackling away, which was nice on this brisk morning.

It got much warmer today as the afternoon progressed, warm enough to be comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans. I had on wool socks and my pea coat, but I made the best of it and changed as soon as I could. After spending the morning/early afternoon touring Hampton, some of the girls and I went to Leicester Square to see if we could get tickets to We Will Rock You. There weren't any available :( but I'm going to try to make it to the matinee tomorrow. I'm determined to see it before I leave this bloody island.

If I can't get a ticket to We Will Rock You, I might see another show instead, so I'd like to take a vote. If you're reading this, comment and tell me if you think I should see Hairspray, Avenue Q, or Rain Man (play with Josh Harnett)? I really wish Sweeny Todd were showing, damn.

Defeated, we cheered ourselves by shopping at H & M. I need not tell you, my suitcase is a bit heavier now, they had some really good deals, and I needed some warmer clothes. Since I was planning on being at the theatre tonight, my evening is going to be uneventful. I'm probably going to take a bath and watch a movie on my laptop as I fall asleep. Goodnight all.

Vans, I vote for the Josh Hartnett one, 'cause really, when are you going to get a chance to see him act live again?

When I was in London I saw a play with TV's Patrick Duffy, John Boy from the Waltons, and some old guy who looked like the old guy from Airwolf. It was called ART and was really funny, though I can't for the life of me remember what it was about.

The end.

H&M makes me happy.

Any theater is gonna be fun.

Being in England constantly made me realize how young our country really is - where are our random 700 year old buildings? where are our dead monarchs' homes?

love you.
