Okay, so no H & M yet, but dancing knights with umbrellas!!!
First things first...
Ah the British Museum, this morning was my second visit, and I paid my respects to the Elgin Marbles, as all Classics students do. Not much else to report, I'm sad to say I did not have enough time (a measly hour) to go through the Hadrian exhibition.
I got to take a tour through the Houses of Parliament! Did you know it is only open to visitors during the month of September? I sure didn't, but I feel very privileged. It was gorgeous and stately and all that. Westminster Hall was way cool, and I learned a lot about British government.
We had lunch at Leicester Square again today, and our tour guide showed us to the official half-price ticket booth. I made a split second decision to take my chance of seeing a show, and not really having the time (or the patience) to badger my peers into going with me (who needs to be persuaded into going to the theatre?), I bought one ticket to Spamalot, and I'm so so glad I did!
In between the Parliament tour and the start of the show, I had four hours to kill. In which, I tried in vain to get on the net, helped my Australian friend get some toothpaste, and drank a couple of tallboys with Michael and Richard(Australian). I learned a lot about the differences between Australia and America, particularly about public education and voting, cool stuff, but I am still happy I'm from the states, even if I'm in more debt.
So finally, Spamalot! It was so much fun to whistle along with 'You've Got to Look on the Bright Side of Life' and hear all my favorite Monty Python lines. Lots of glitter, controversial jokes, English inside jokes I didn't quite get, and scantily clad nuns. And I quote:
'Well I'm Jewish'
'You don't say!'
'Yea, on my mother's side'
'Why didn't you say so before?'
'It's never a good thing to mention around a heavily armoured Christian.'
Forgive me if that's not exact, but you get the point. Anyway, I got to the theatre and back all by myself and had a 'smashing' time, I'm proud to say. Tomorrow I'll shop, but more importantly I'm going to try to go see We Will Rock You, the Queen musical ;)

... Spamalot!! Trev and I are totally jealous. We've been having a great time watching the 3rd season of "Always Sunny in Philly" before the season premier tonight. I miss 'real' big cities. Plus Philly Rocks!
Parliament sounds exciting. What perfect timing...We don't call you P.T. for nothing.
For real I miss the Shit out of you! Love you babe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm. So. Jealous.
That is all.
Daaaamn! Look at you go, even! It's awesome that you took in a show (and possibly 2) by yourself.
Take Back The Night was awesome. I have a shirt with a glow-in-the-dark fist on it. We can share custody if you like :)
I still miss you and still want you to put pictures up. Love you.
