And so it begins...

Alright kids, if you are currently reading this blog that means at least one of the following:

1. You are considering studying abroad in the UK and are interested in reading about an individual student's experience before committing to the program.
2. You have a foreign shoe fetish.
3. You spend so much time on the internet procrastinating real work that you need another person's daily life details in order to entertain yourself.
4. You are concerned, intrigued, or otherwise interested in the whereabouts and ongoings of Vans 'The Shoe' Copple. (that's me!)

If you only apply to #2, this may be a rather unsatisfying blog for you. Now, I intend to post on this blog daily, with updates and funny stories and what not, but that is assuming that there will be something of interest to write about everyday, so we'll see how that goes.

Today I am leaving Salt Lake City International Airport and my destination is Porto, Portugal. My super awesome mom has a conference in Porto with other super awesome immunologists. While she is stuck in scientific meetings, I'll be exploring and what else I'm not sure, but whatever it is, I'll be sure to blog about it. Until then, it's going to be a long flight to Portugal, with layovers and the like, and since I am traveling with my laptop, the next post might be a bit nonsensical, sprouting from boredom in a German airport terminal.

I am excited to spend a semester in England, and it may go without saying but I'm going to say it anyway, I miss you all very much already.

***Point of Information*** I am leaving my cell phone in Utah. Please do not call or text me because there would/should be no response. I may get a pay-as-you-go phone once I'm in England, but for now I am off the grid.
