I spent most of today preparing for my presentation tomorrow on Christina Rossetti in my Romantics and Victorians English class. She writes pretty poetry, I like her a lot.
Tonight I went with Richard and Sara to the Wine and Cheese Night at Shirley House. Afterwards we went to Open Mic Night at Beaumont Bar. James played first on his acoustic guitar and he sounded amazing. Which is incredible considering that he got really sick today, but insisted on playing. Richard joined him on the second song. Now, we all knew that Richard played the flute really well, he even studied it at Oxford over the summer, but none of us knew how good of a singer he was. Amazing. And then they did a guitar/flute duet of a Green Day song. Brilliant. The next act was also someone I knew, also Australian. Tegan, a lovely girl, rapped. She did a fantastic job, got the crowd really involved, and rocked the house.
Many were hoping for snow today, but it didn't happen. We woke to find the ground soaking for a really early rain. London and Oxford got snow, none for Leicester.

Good luck on the presentation. I love Rossetti (and her brother). Sad life, touching poetry.
And the pre-Raphaelites.
BTW, what kind of a presentation is this, exactly? Is PowerPoint involved? Is it bio, criticism, or what?
love, k
Snow!? No fair. I feel like Kansas should get snow before you, but I guess you're surrounded by some really cold water.
The open mic and wine/cheese sound fantastic. Cheers to you.
Good luck on the presentation, love. I know you'll do Rosetti justice and do it with flair/good transitions :)
Love you
