Leicester: Day 43

This morning started early, considering that it is Saturday. At ten o'clock my friend Richard and I went down to City Centre to do some shopping. I got a new fleece to keep warm as the weather gets colder and colder, as well as a dress for the Beaumont and Digby Ball. It's an end of the semester event and it should be fun. A fancy farewell for most of the study abroad kids.

Rich and I made it back in time for brunch, after which I fully intended to go to the library to crack down on my essays. However, while I was dreading the idea of going back out into the cold I fell asleep. Completely unplanned, my lights were still on and everything. I think I am more tired from Prague than I thought. Anyway, I woke up in time for dinner.

I've uploaded some photos from Prague. Enjoy.

It's so cool that you go to places called "Centres." I imagine an open-air market with a shepart hawking his woolen goods, but I imagine that by "fleece" you actually mean coat/sweater purchased in an indoor place. Still, though.

It's really chilly here too. The highs are only in the 40s for most of the next week.

I just looked at the Leisure Suite photo album again today. It makes me all the more eager to see you in person again.

Stay warm, my love.

Great photos from Prague. It looks beautiful, authentic, clean, with healthy, well-maintained buildings. What a jewel of a city.

I've never known anyone who got to attend the Beaumont and Digby Ball. Sounds pretty classy. Do they serve punch? Are there dance cards?

Tomorrow, we head back to the mountains.

Love, k
