Leicester: Day 42

Another productive Friday, full of slides and fun facts about Sparta.

They are currently repainting Beaumont House in preparation for the Queen's coming. Still hazy on the details, but it will be soon.

Tonight I watched some Scrubs with the Aussies and we looked at photos from Prague. Those will be coming to this blog tomorrow.

What must it be like to be Queen, that wherever you go you see fresh paint? Poor Lizzy wouldn't know what to think if she saw peeling paint.

What's a Scrub? The medical reference? The bench-warmer reference? Forgive me, I'm unlearned.

Aaaannnnd, what facts about Sparta are "fun"? The Puritans and Republican Party were founded in Sparta, I'm sure of it -- Spartans were opposed to fun on principle.

Looking forward to Prague Pix. By the way, do you know the Oklahoma town called "Prague"? It's pronounced "prayg," and they have an annual kolache festival.

I have nothing as informative as Kenn to add, but I'm glad you're learning and that you're experiencing the "royal treatment." Heh. Get it? Like a paint treatment?
