Leicester: Day 38

The mailing has begun. I went to the post office today and sent a Christmas parcel to the ladies of the Bungalow and I picked up a big box for mailing some holiday cheer to Utah, which will go out tomorrow. It is packed quite nicely, if I do say so myself :) though I am rather dreading the postage.

I did a lot of reading for English today. So far in the course I have been loving the reading. Today not so much. Lord Tennyson is a bit of a disappointment. His poetry is just so rambling, I have to read it out loud to keep myself from repeating the same lines over and over again. The words don't compute in my brain. Middlemarch is a rollercoaster of a novel. Whenever I get bored, it's not too long until there is another loopdy-loop of intrigue. It's impossible for me to understand all of the historical references, even with footnotes, which is frustrating. Thankfully, it isn't vital to the gist of the book, but it still makes me feel uneducated.

Dinner tonight was curry! It's always a good night when the dinner is curry.
