Update: last I heard from Aaron, he is doing okay. Apparently some of his friends who went to watch some of the riots experienced the lingering effects of teargas. Supposedly Aaron reads this blog, so it would be great if he would just comment and give you all his own update.
Today was a lot of admin. I had to have my room checked and approved by one of the reception staff, in order to make sure that I had not broken the window or removed the waste bin, etc. I'm trying to get my belongings organized. After writing the last essay, I am in dire need of sleep.
Tonight there was a party in Steph and James' room, just like the one at the beginning of the semester. It was a very cyclical ending. All the international kids were there as well as a few English students I had never met. Good conversation, tearful goodbyes, and late night pizza. I also had a drink with my sub-warden friend Claire in Beaumont Bar. She's been in my English class and she's my closest English friend. Her questions centered on, 'So when are you coming back?'

Just in case Aaron doesn't get a chance to comment, I thought I'd let you know that he is doing just fine. We spoke to him today (Sunday, Dec.14). They had their classes cancelled for a couple of days, the riots are ongoing, but seem to be less severe. He has two essays to turn in then he's finished. We can't wait to see him.
