Leicester: Day 55

I saw the Queen of England!

Of course, it would be raining. I waited outside the library to see her, along with hundreds of others. I was not tall enough, nor had I arrived early enough, to see her walk in. I changed locations and managed to see her on her way out of the library, from about thirty feet back. She was wearing a pale pink skirt suit and hat. She looked very elegant. I had to stay on campus for class, so I was not able to see her go in or out of Beaumont House for her lunch. I can still say that I saw the Queen, and that is saying a lot I suppose.

I am trudging through my English essay. It's a shame I haven't written one of these since high school, specifically for English that is. I'm doing the best I can, and looking forward to my last weekend in Leicester.

Wow. You saw the Queen. Wow.

Too bad you're not as connected there as you are with the Democrats at KU. You would have finagled an audience. You could have curtsied. You could have asked her for JK Rowling's autograph.

Amazing that you've gone this long without writing an English essay. Can't you recycle some old paper? Maybe something like "Latin Graffiti in English Romantic Poetry"?

That's kind of how I feel about going to comic conventions.
